Stay Classy Cleveland…

I was struggling once again this week to find a relevant topic for my next blog post.  Then, it dawned on me.  Why not blog about the one thing I have been completed immersed in for the past several weeks…. Cleveland Indians baseball.

 

Actually, the genius idea came to me late in the 6th inning of Game 4 of the ALCS series in Cleveland on Tuesday night.  Anyone who is a baseball fan, or consumes any news at all, knows what I am talking about.  The Boston Red Sox came to the plate in the 6th inning, and for the first time in LCS history hit back-to-back-to-back home runs.  No, that is not a typo.  They hit three of them…. in a row.  Now, as an avid baseball fan, I would normally tip my hat to the Red Sox for such a great accomplishment.  But the last home run, which was hit by the infamous Manny Ramirez, really boiled my blood.  He hit the ball and stood with his hands up in the air until it cleared the center field wall.  Then he trotted slowly around the bases enjoying all of the moment.  The action was cocky, unprofessional and made the Red Sox organization look foolish.  I guess I should inform you that the score was 7-2 in favor of the Tribe at this time.  It’s not like Manny had hit a 9th inning walk-off home run.  (more…)
